OutSideIN (Stella Adler Outreach) Presents "THE LEARNING PROJECT" An Original Ensemble Performance w. Talk Back for BewilderArts
April 30th, 2016 @ 2:00pm
Stella Adler Studio of Acting / Studio G
31 W 27th Street, 2nd Floor
“To me, this program means FREEDOM, in a world filled with oppression.” – Kelly, Stella Adler Outreach Participant
On behalf of Stella Adler Outreach, BewilderArts is humbled to extend a special invitation to educators, artists & activists.
OutSideIN is a groundbreaking new education program providing an artistic home and FREE Actor Training for students who have trained with the Award Winning Stella Adler Outreach Division in classes inside jail at Rikers Island, or in the drug and alcohol recovery program at Phoenix House or while transitioning back home through organizations like GOSO. They are joined by members of the studio's alumni and faculty, training every weekend. From this foundation the ensemble identifies a theme and collaborates on writing a body of original new work for the theater.
On Saturday, April 30th, OutSideIN will conclude its launch tour with a special matinee performance of "The Learning Project." The performance will be followed by a talk back for BewilderArts and our growing community.
Last Spring, Stella Adler and BewilderArts presented “Actor Warriors & Artivists: Your Role in the Arts Activist Movement,” an in-depth workshop day exploring Stella Adler Outreach work at Rikers Island and Phoenix House. We are thrilled to be partnering with Stella Adler Outreach again this year, with a unique opportunity to see how this theatre education endeavor has grown into an innovative producing ensemble within the historic Stella Adler Studio.
This event is free and open to all new and returning BewilderArts participants. RSVP: email@example.com BewilderArts events are free but space is limited & registration is required.
As a community organization, it is important to us that we keep BewilderArts open and accessible. We are so grateful for contributions of all sizes from fellow Bewilderers and friends. These donations allow us to continue providing quality services for all who wish to partake.
